Generate Virtual Host

On this page you can easily generate virtual host configuration for the two major linux distribution, Debian or Redhat.  You will only need to know:

  • the domain or subdomain name you wish to use
  • the server IP address if using IP based Virtual hosts
  • the absolute document root path where the domain should be pointed to

You can start by choosing your distribution bellow:


Keep in mind that the location where you need to add your virtual host configuration is in the following file! Add the virtual host configuration to the bottom of this file.

/etc/httpd/conf/httd.conf

Keep in mind that the location where you need to add your virtual host configuration is at the following location, as a new file!

/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/
or
/usr/local/apache2/sites-enabled/


Bellow you need to enter the IP address, Domain or subdomain name and absulte document_root

Please keep in mind that the document_root path needs to be an absolute path!
